Matching PJs

I’m not sure why, but I really thought it would be fun to match my son while in the hospital. Not only was it fun (for me), I ended up finding some of the most soft and comfortable pajamas!

As I mentioned in my previous post, Packing for the Hospital, I found some great pajamas so I didn’t have to wear a gown my entire visit. While searching for nursing-friendly pajamas, I came across matching sets for mom and baby. I then fell in love! We both wear these PJs all the time around the house. It’s great to wear when visiting family too!

I also love wearing these Medela camis that were recommended to me by a dear friend.

You can find the matching beanie with Baby P’s name here at Etsy.

You’re Never Too Pregnant for Stripes

I am 38-weeks pregnant and there still no sign of Baby P arriving yet. While we are not so patiently waiting for his arrival, I wanted to share a great outfit for those mommas-to-be as the seasons change. Not only is it comfortable, it is easy to find and buy! Target became one of my favorite maternity stops throughout this pregnancy.

Today I am sharing my favorite outfit combo with you, but there are many ways to wear this look by changing the bottoms, shirt, or shoes. When it is warmer, I like to wear the stripe shirt with blue jean shorts, and some fun jewelry. You can also wear a different colored or patterned top underneath the chambray top. Unlimited possibilities!

I feel this outfit works for several different things – going out for a fun date, meeting a friend for dinner, or even going to one of your many doctor’s appointments!

Just waiting for Baby P! Whenever you’re ready, little guy!

Little Black Maternity Dress

After receiving requests about my black dress, I decided to share it with all my readers! I am in love with this black dress. My tummy is about to not allow me to wear it anymore, but it is definitely one of my favorites. It is great for showers, weddings, or when you just feel like dressing up.

Summer Stripes

When it comes to dressing for work, vacation, or a dinner date, I search for something that is not only cute but super comfortable too. I recently found the perfect mix of comfort and cuteness from Old Navy. It also became my go-to dress because of its comfort level. I also bought the dress in the heather grey color as well. The link for the heather grey dress is HERE. Unfortunately, my exact Bodycon dress is sold out at this time. But I provided some great options that are similar below.

I hope this look helps those pregnant moms who want to be comfortable, cute, and not spend a fortune either. Happy shopping!

Finding the Perfect Maxi Dress

I have a black maxi dress, and our love is undeniable. I wear it year round, and I have actually bought this same dress twice in the last four years.

I am not sure when the sparks started with this dress, but it is the ultimate traveling outfit, the best beachwear, and a great dress for a day of shopping too. I wear it so many ways, and it can actually be worn as a skirt too!

Getting Ready for the Fourth of July

Fourth of July is right around the corner. How are you planning to celebrate? With the upcoming festivities, I want you to be dressed for the occasion!

There are great swimsuit options here: Target Swimsuit Top | Target Swimwuit Bottom . But if water isn’t in the future, I have a festive option for you! I found a large American flag print scarf and turned it into a vest with my black tank dress. It is my absolute favorite!

I hope you all have great Fourth of July holiday! I would love to see what patriotic creations you come up with this year!

My Go-To Dress Lately

With the warmer weather we are having in Texas lately, I am reaching for my black tank top dress in the closet more frequently. The best thing about this black dress is that I can change the look with accessories – jewelry, vests, or even kimonos.

When tailgating comes in the fall for football, I can easily show my spirit with this dress. Or if an outdoor concert comes up, I am quick to choose this dress and dress it up accordingly. It really works for anything when you are feeling creative or when you want your look to be effortless. This dress is also light and comfortable, so you don’t have to worry about sweating as much on those hot summer, or spring, days.

Below are two of my favorite looks with this dress:

Oliver & Otis

Do you love looking cute and being comfortable at the same time? Oliver & Otis mastered the perfect t-shirt for this look. Some are funny, some are sweet, but ALL are guaranteed for a compliment (in my opinion).

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the company’s recent photo shoot. It was a blast! But along with the photo shoot, I want to explain how I learned Oliver & Otis was local to me. I have to thank Facebook for this one.

Scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed one day, I came across a post from one of my old college friends and sorority sister. The photo she posted looked very similar to the park I frequently go to in town for family picnics and walking our dog. So naturally, I investigated further. As soon as I clicked on her profile, I learned that she didn’t live far from me at all! I instantly messaged her, and we were able to catch up with each other.

With our chat, I learned that she created Oliver & Otis with her family. What a dream! To actually follow your passion and start your own company. I already loved these shirts, but I had a greater love for them after I learned the story behind creating the company.

So if you are looking for a fun gift, or just a cute shirt to wear, I highly recommend Oliver & Otis shirts and supporting small businesses!

Having fun with pants

I think color and printed pants are a lot of fun. The only catch is making sure they don’t make you look bigger than you really are.

One little secret about any pants with pockets – make sure the pockets are placed under your rear, and the pocket size isn’t too small or too large. It will make that rear of yours more appealing. The wrong placement of pockets can lead to your booty looking flat, wide, and sometimes longer than it really is. If you are nervous about that pocket size, look for nice colored or printed pants that don’t have actual pockets at all! Problem solved.

On the front side, make sure your pockets don’t gap. There is an easy fix to this to make your pants look much more flattering. Take the pants to your favorite seamstress, and have them close your front pockets. You’ll be looking great in no time.

I have several colors and patterned pants, but one of my favorites are these red pants of mine. If red is too bold, find the color that works best for you.
